How To Pair BeatsX Earbuds: Step by Step Instructions

In this article I will offer very simple but complete step-by-step instructions for how to pair BeatsX in-ear wireless headphones to any device – an Apple PC or iPhone, a Windows PC or Android phone.

First we’ll cover the most basic steps, which should help you get your Beats X earbuds connected quickly and easily, and then we’ll go over some basic troubleshooting steps if it doesn’t work.

Then at the end of the article I will offer more detailed instructions for finding and using the Bluetooth page on any phone or computer – Apple, Android or Windows.

How to Pair BeatsX Earbuds to Any Device

Step 1

Make sure that Bluetooth is turned on on your phone or PC. For specific instructions on how to do this with an Apple phone or PC, an Android phone or a Windows PC, see below

Step 2

Make sure your Beats X earbuds are close enough to the device. Effective Bluetooth range can be several hundred feet, but for pairing I like to have the headphones and the device right next to earth other

Step 3

Power on your Beats X earbuds and put them in pairing mode

• If this is the first time you’ve used them, your Beats X earbuds should enter pairing mode automatically when turned on

• If they’ve been used before, and you are trying to pair to a new device, you will have to place them in pairing mode manually by pressing the power button – located on the neckband’s right control module  – for five seconds until the light flashes white

Step 4

Go back to your device’s Bluetooth page and select your Beats X earbuds, and you should be up and running

• If your Beats X are powered on and in pairing mode, they should appear here. If not, go back to the previous step – and make certain the Beats X earbuds are close enough to your device.

• Also, If you don’t see your Beats X earbuds listed, you can refresh the list, or turn Bluetooth off and on

How to Connect Beats X Earbuds: Basic Troubleshooting

Step 1

Make sure your Beats X are not just on and pairing, but are sufficiently charged

Step 2

Remember that your earbuds and device have to be in range of each other – effective Bluetooth range can be several hundred feet, but when pairing I always have them right next to each other to make sure

Step 3

Make sure your Beats are not actively paired with another device, and your phone of PC is also not actively paired with other Bluetooth headphones, speakers or other devices

Power down your Beats X earbuds and restart your PC or phone, and try the process again

1. On your iPhone go to Settings, and then to Bluetooth
2. Turn Bluetooth on
3. Make sure your BeatsX  are in Pairing Mode (see sections above)
4. Tap on the name of your Beats X earbuds 
5. Enter any required passwords or pin codes
6. Click Yes or Confirm for any ensuing pop-ups

How to Find and Connect Your Beats X Earbuds on Apple MacBook PC

1. Go to Apple menu, then System Preferences, and then Bluetooth
2. Make sure your BeatsX are in Pairing Mode (see sections above)
3. Select your Beats X earbuds and click on Connect
4. Enter any required passwords or pin codes
5. Click Yes or Confirm for any ensuing pop-ups

How to Find and Connect Your Beats X Earbuds on an Android Phone/Tablet

1. Swipe down from the top of your screen
2. Find the Bluetooth icon and press and hold it until the Bluetooth page opens
3. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on
4. Make sure your BeatsX are in Pairing Mode (see sections above)
5. Tap on the name of your Beats X earbuds
6. If you do not see your Beats X earbuds listed, you may have to press one of the following (depending on your device):

• Connect New Device
• Refresh

7. Enter any required passwords or pin codes
8. Click Yes or Confirm for any ensuing pop-ups

1. Go to Settings, and then to Devices
2. Turn Bluetooth on
3. Make sure your BeatsX earbuds are in Pairing Mode (see sections above)
