Some people love the peace and quiet of the golf course – birds chirping, a (hopefully) gentle breeze blowing through the leaves, the hushed whir of cart motors, the whoosh of a club, an occasional ‘fore!’ in the distance.

Not me! I want a different kind of soundtrack accompanying me on the links. I want music, and I want it to sound amazing. And since you’re here, I guess you do too.

So, who makes the best speakers for golf? That’s exactly what we’ll investigate in this guide to best Bluetooth golf speakers in 2024.

This isn’t an especially long article, but I do understand if you want to skip all the talk and get out on the course, so here are my top recommendations:

What to Look For in the Best Speakers for Golf

Really, the main things we would want from a good golf speaker are the same things we’d look for in any portable Bluetooth speaker:

  • Great Sound
  • Great Weatherproofing / Waterproofing
  • Great Battery Life
  • Newest Generation Bluetooth
  • Enough Power / Volume
  • A Nice and Usable Design

Pretty important stuff, and rest assured that these are the main factors I’ve used in selecting the best golf speakers for this list.

But golfers also may want a couple of other things in their new Bluetooth speaker, including a handy magnetic mount and GPS.

Do You Need a Golf Speaker with GPS?

It’s easy to understand why a magnetic mount is nice to have – just make sure to fasten it to the cart, not to one of your irons!

But GPS is a different matter – and still a bit of a controversial subject, though most courses, clubs and golf associations fully allow the use of GPS during play.

GPS allows you to see the course in a clear and complete way, and will show you your exact position, as well as distances from the hole, from the tee and from various boundaries and hazards.

So yeah, GPS is a fantastic tool, and can help you understand the game, your own game and any given course/hole much better.

But still, does your speaker need to have GPS? If you don’t already have another GPS product, it’s not a bad idea, and just makes sense, to get a speaker with GPS built in.

That said, so many people use a handheld GPS, a smart watch or even just a phone app, and so out of all of my top picks for best Bluetooth wireless golf speaker, only one of them – the fantastic Bushnell Wingman – has GPS built in.

Ok, now that we know what we want and need, all that’s left is the question of budget, and so I have ordered these recommendations simply by price, from the least to the most expensive.

So let’s have a closer look at the best gold speakers on the market today!

Best Bluetooth Golf Speaker – Super Cheap

OontZ Angle 3 Golf Edition Bluetooth Speaker with Clamp Mount

  • Mount: Clamp
  • GPS: No
  • Battery Life: 14 Hours
  • Waterproofing: IPX5

What I Like:

  • Incredible Value
  • Great Design
  • Surprisingly Good Sound
  • Tough and Durable

Possible Downsides?

  • Not as weatherproofed as others…

The OontZ Angle 3 is one of the most popular small Bluetooth wireless speakers in the world today – really, incredibly popular, and with incredibly high customer ratings and rave reviews on all fronts.

Their Golf Edition is exactly the same as the normal Angle 3 – basically it is nothing more than the original Angle 3 with a nice golf graphic screened onto the grill and case. So really it’s not in any particular way designed for golfing, although it does work great for just that.

And for a very, very inexpensive speaker that is sufficiently waterproofed, has good battery life and sounds great – absolutely amazing, in fact, considering its size and its price – the OontZ Angle 3 is nigh on impossible to beat.

My link leads to a nice golf bundle, with the Golf Edition speaker and a strong and handy mounting clamp for golf carts, and even at the slightly higher price it’s still an amazing value!

Best Bluetooth Golf Speaker – Budget

Dprofy Pro Portable Magnetic Bluetooth Waterproof Golf Speaker

  • Mount: Magnetic
  • GPS: No
  • Battery Life: 20 Hours
  • Waterproofing: IPX6

What I Like:

  • Strong Magnetic Mount
  • Good Sound
  • Long Battery Life
  • Well Made and Well Designed

Possible Downsides?

  • Not the biggest sound…

The Dprofy golf speaker is about twice the price of the wonderful little OontZ, just above, and honestly it does not offer a real upgrade in sound quality – they both sound great, but one or the other isn’t significantly better.

The Dprofy is, however, in some ways a better speaker for golfers. It has a very strong and secure magnetic mount for golf carts, a higher waterproof rating, and significantly better battery life.

It is also a very well made and durable product, with a smart and highly usable design and decent looks. And even though it doesn’t really sound better than the less expensive OontZ, the Dprofy will play a bit louder, and nicely projects the music into even larger outdoor spaces.

A well designed and well made golf cart speaker with great performance for the money, the Dprofy is an easy recommendation.

Best Value Bluetooth Golf Speaker

Rokform G-ROK Portable Golf Speaker with Magnetic Mount IPX7 Waterproof

  • Mount: Magnetic
  • GPS: No
  • Battery Life: 24 Hours
  • Waterproofing: IPX7

What I Like:

  • Bigger, Fuller Sound
  • Super Rugged
  • The Longest Battery Life
  • Smart and Usable Layout

Possible Downsides?

  • Not really…

For not a lot more money, this Rokform G-ROK golfing speaker is a big upgrade in many ways.

For one thing, the sound is just bigger, more full and rich, louder and better projected, with great bass and tons of musical energy – a really fun listen.

But the G-ROK is also an especially well made product, with a strong and very rugged shockproof case, excellent waterproofing and an extremely solid magnetic mount. Even the buttons seem tougher and more substantial than on cheaper speakers, and the layout is smart and simple.

Superior battery life and latest generation Bluetooth wireless circuitry add to the attraction, but for me the main thing about the Rokform G-ROK is its big and beautiful sound. In pretty much every way, though, this is a great speaker and a great product, and gets a very strong recommendation.

Biggest Sound from a Golf Speaker

One Under GX40 Magnetic Wireless Speaker Massive 40W Sound IPX7

  • Mount: Magnetic
  • GPS: No
  • Battery Life: 18 Hours
  • Waterproofing: IPX7

What I Like:

  • The Biggest Sound
  • Warm, Rich and Highly Musical
  • Well Made and Well Designed
  • Stereo Pairing

Possible Downsides?

  • Not the most refined sound – though super-exciting

This One Under GX40 Bluetooth golf speaker is about the same price as the Rokform G-ROK we just looked at, and in at least a couple of ways it is not as good of a speaker.

For one thing, while the GX40 has great battery life, the G-ROK will play longer. The G-ROK is also a bit tougher, though this One Under GX40 is also clearly a very well made product, designed and built for years of use.

So why on earth would I recommend the One Under GX40? Simple – some of us like to live loud, and the GX40 is the loudest golf speaker I’ve found. And it’s not just loud, but has quite amazing sound, with lots of bass, tons of musical energy and real clarity and detail, and with a warmth and musicality lots of other Bluetooth speakers at this price level miss.

And it will pump out that beautiful sound as loud as you could possibly want. And, if for some unimaginable reason you want even more volume, or an even bigger sound, you can get a second GX40 and do true stereo pairing!

With great Bluetooth, a strong magnetic clamp, a simple and intelligent user interface and high quality on all fronts, the One Under GX40 is a great golf speaker, and did I mention it will play really loud?

Best Bluetooth Golf Speaker with GPS

Bushnell Wingman GPS Speaker with BITE Magnetic Mount

  • Mount: Magnetic
  • GPS: Yes
  • Battery Life: 10 Hours
  • Waterproofing: IPX6

What I Like:

  • Inbuilt GPS
  • Fantastic Free GPS App
  • Brilliant Sound Quality
  • Cool Detachable Remote
  • Great Company
  • The Highest Overall Quality

Possible Downsides?

  • Some will want more bass and/or more volume

The inclusion of GPS is reason enough to include the Bushnell Wingman in our list of best speakers for golf, but that would be selling this excellent speaker way too short.

Because in fact the Wingman has amazing sound. Not, perhaps, as big, bold or bassy as others recommended here, it nonetheless sounds better than pretty much any of them.

The Bushnell Wingman has a refinement of sound that makes all kinds of music sound perfect. In fact, for the audiophiles in the room, the Wingman’s tonal accuracy, low distortion, wide frequency response, and its open and natural sound make it a much better choice than anything we’ve seen so far – really only the Blue Tees Golf The Player, just below, can compare.

And then there’s the GPS, which is exceptional here – not necessarily better somehow than other GPS systems, but the perfectly designed Bushnell App makes it incredibly helpful and usable, and it will definitely up your game.

The Bushnell Wingman also has a strong and secure magnetic mount, good battery life and sufficient waterproofing, a simple but useful detachable remote, and is very well made and high quality overall.

In fact, I’m happy to proclaim the Bushnell Wingman not just the best gold speaker with GPS, but the best golf speaker overall – at such an affordable price, this would definitely be my first choice!

Great Sound Quality

Blue Tees Golf The Player Magnetic Bluetooth Speaker IPX7 Waterproof

  • Mount: Magnetic
  • GPS: No
  • Battery Life: 12 Hours
  • Waterproofing: IPX7

What I Like:

  • The Best Sound Quality Overall
  • Superb Material and Build Quality
  • Strong and Stable Magnetic Mount
  • Good Battery Life
  • Great Waterproofing
  • Brilliant Layout and Functionality

Possible Downsides?

  • No GPS

I just called the Bushnell Wingman the best golf speaker overall, but I have to say that this Blue Tees Golf speaker, The Player, is a very close second, and in fact in terms of pure sound quality is the best I’ve heard.

Everything else is excellent here – more than adequate battery life, full IPX7 waterproofing, a nice look and a very simple and easy to use layout, and an especially tough overbuilt quality – but the sound is what really sets The Player apart.

Yes, the Bushnell above may have a slightly more accurate sound quality, and appeal slightly more to audiophiles, but this Blue Tees Golf speaker, with a remarkably driven sound – dynamic, energetic and very exciting, with slamming deep bass and shimmering highs – will appeal to pretty much everybody else, and makes any and all music sound brilliant.

Enough clarity and tonal beauty for classical music, jazz and acoustic, intense power and slam for electronica, hip hop, rock and pop, and with such low distortion and such ease that listening to anything is a real joy!

I said above that the Bushnell would “definitely be my first choice,’ but I want to change my answer – two Blue Tees Golf The Player wireless speakers, one on each side of my cart and paired in true stereo mode, and I might just putt around the course all day and not even get out to play.

An excellent and extremely likable product, the Blue Tees Golf The Player Bluetooth wireless golf speaker is an easy recommendation.
